ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Marcie Shrewsbury Lopez is a fine artist with an MFA in Painting from the New York Academy of Art in NYC. She also graduated from New York University with a degree in English. Her fine romance marriage of 20 years with unconditional love is the foundation for her to survive and thrive after the death of her beloved husband. The power of creativity helped her heal during the grieving process when she was in shock at the loss of her husband. Her paintings have been featured in a one woman art show, 3 museum group shows and various galleries. She taught ancient art history and drawing in two New Jersey colleges, Brookdale in Lincroft, N.J. and Essex Co. College, in the Caldwell branch. Her goal in writing this memoir is to inspire others to live life to it’s fullest, even after a broken heart and significant loss. She intends for this story to give hope and comfort to all who suffer the loss of a loved one. She lives near the Jersey shore where she paints and has a studio. She loves walks on the beach and she is peaceful through her love of and involvement with horses.
